UL Research Institutes and UL Standards & Engagement sponsored “Summer Sounds,” a free outdoor concert series at Evanston’s Fountain Square, from July 11 to September 26, in partnership with Downtown Evanston, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering a vibrant downtown business district.
Every Thursday from 5-7 p.m., the series featured diverse musical genres and performers, promoting community engagement and supporting local businesses. ULRI and ULSE employees at the booth helped to promote the Electrochemical Safety Research Institute’s Be Nice To Your Device campaign, talking to concert attendees about why, how, and where they can safely recycle lithium-ion batteries and devices.
